1. Dr. Loeb will examine your current smile.
When you first visit our Oakland orthodontist office, Dr. Loeb will become your personal orthodontist who you’ll see at each visit. You’ll meet Dr. Loeb and get to know a little bit about each other.
Dr. Loeb will perform a visual exam of your smile and we’ll take some digital x-rays, impressions and photos to gain the full picture of your teeth, gums and jaw bones.
For digital impressions, we use the advanced iTero® digital scanner to take accurate and precise digital impressions of your mouth, without the discomfort and messiness of traditional putty impressions.
Dr. Loeb will use all of this information, from your visual exam, digital x-rays and impressions, to create your personalized treatment plan.
2. You’ll choose a treatment.
At your first orthodontic appointment, we’ll help you explore your treatment options so you can choose the best one for you. Dr. Loeb will suggest a treatment option based on your needs.
The best treatment option for you will depend on your preferences and lifestyle. Dr. Loeb has the experience necessary to treat you with your preferred treatment option.
We provide traditional metal braces and clear ceramic braces as well as Invisalign® clear aligners for all ages.
3. We’ll create a payment plan that suits your needs.
We offer 0% interest in-house financing, as well as third-party financing with LendingPoint, to help you cover the cost of treatment. We accept most major credit cards too.
We’ll present our financial options, discuss our in-house financing plans and match you with any discount opportunities (pay-in-full discount or family member discount.)
We’ll also calculate your dental insurance benefit if you have insurance. Our team will submit your insurance claims for you so you can receive the maximum benefit.
We know it sounds like a lot, but you’ll hear all of this again at your orthodontics appointment.
4. You begin treatment.
Once your treatment plan and financing are squared away, Dr. Loeb will either put braces on your teeth, or take your digital Invisalign® scans to have your custom treatment created. This entire appointment process takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
